The leading European developer and manufacturer of Internet of Things devices, Teltonika, is entering a new business niche – the company will soon start mass-production of its first smart electric vehicle (EV) charger – TeltoCharge.
NEW BUSINES UNIT – TELTONIKA ENERGY
Along with the launch of its TeltoCharge product, Teltonika EMS has formed a new business division – Teltonika Energy, which will focus on developing smart electrification hardware and software solutions.

WHY ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING?
Transportation is transforming to provide affordable, easy, and clean ways for people to get around. A global, unified effort is needed to increase viable, affordable, and zero-emission mobility; therefore, improving access to electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure is an essential step to achieving transportation decarbonization goals.
Lack of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and inability to reliably charge EVs inhibits many of us from purchasing or leasing EVs, thus impairing EV adoption and eventually our efforts towards decarbonization.

TeltoCharge – EASY, SMART AND RELIABLE EV CHARGER
Towards the end of 2021, Teltonika Energy will be launching its first “TeltoCharge” product line featuring premium quality, highly customizable, and easy-to-use EV charging solutions that will enable users worldwide to conveniently charge their EVs at home or any other shared-car parking. This will be an exceptional product combining premium looks, high-quality build, and smart EV charging features to save customers’ time and money.
TeltoCharge will feature fast EV charging capability (up to 22kW) and plenty of configuration options, ranging from 5 distinct color choices and front plate finishes to different connectivity types, including Wi-Fi / Bluetooth and GSM. In addition, the product will have a reliable and robust design that can withstand even the harshest weather, meaning that it can be safely installed both indoors and outdoors.

TeltoCharge will come with a smartphone app allowing users to remotely monitor the status of their charger, schedule charging when the power is cheapest, view statistics in real time, lock their charger to protect it from unwanted users, and more.
PLANS FOR BUSINESS GROWTH
With TeltoCharge as the initial step, over the next couple of years, the company has plans to expand its product offering. Working with the partners across private and public sectors, Teltonika Energy will contribute towards improving access to EV charging infrastructure globally and enable mass EV adoption. Apart from TeltoCharge product line, company plans to introduce an extended range of specific EV charging solutions that will include destination charging and public sector use cases.
